Pinterest recently shared their Top 100 Trends to try for in 2018, and among their recommendations was making the fifth wall a distinct design feature. The term ‘statement ceilings’ was up 310% in their saves and they shared that, “A statement ceiling can transform a room from the top down with bold paint, striking wallpaper or intricate texture”. We are wholeheartedly behind the call to ‘top it off’ and have seen many gorgeous statement ceilings created with Modern Masters. Here are a few of our recent faves!
San Francisco-based artists Caroline Lizarraga and Allie Kranyak created a modern, eye-catching ceiling with triangular geometric shapes and our Metallic Paint Collection.
A wood plank ceiling gets a gorgeous oxidized treatment with our Metal Effects patinas. It has a great rustic, organic feel that’s so much more than just a stained wood ceiling. The beautiful finish is by Kelly Klein Interiors.
Last year, we featured artist Elan Evans on our Modern Mastery series and we still find ourselves smitten with this metallic agate pattern ceiling. It was painted with our Metallic Paint Collection for a luxe pearl and gold result. The interior design was by Tineke Triggs and the photos are by Eric Rorer.
What to do with a large ceiling space? Break up the wide expanse with color and interest! Artist Doris Rackers Davis handpainted an ornamental pattern around the light fixture and incorporated the metallic accent colors onto the design with our Metallic Paint Collection. The ceiling is 30′ up and measures 11′ x 8.5′. Wow!
Our Champagne Metallic Paint makes for a simple and sophisticated effect on a long rectangular ceiling. It’s the perfect complement to the space and hanging chandeliers. The project and photo are by Toni Crockett Design.
