- Glass or Wine Bottles from Dollar Stores or Craft Stores
- Metal Effects Rust Kit
- Pewter Metallic Paint
- Arabesque Ornament Craft Stencil Set from Royal Design Studio
- Small Stencil Brush
- Painters Tape, Paper Towels and Gloves
Prime the glass bottles with a primer suitable for glass. Once dry, brush on two coats of the Metal Effects primer. Allow to dry 12 hours.
Brush on two coats of the Iron Reactive Paint, allowing 30 minutes to dry in between coats. Let dry.
Spray the Rust Activator on the piece. You may prefer to wear gloves for this step. After 5 minutes, spray a second coat of the Rust Activator. Let the rust happen!
Once rusted, tape the stencil lightly to the surface or hold with one hand. Using the small stencil brush, apply the Pewter Metallic Paint. Dip the tips of the stencil brush into the paint and offload any excess paint onto the paper towels. Use a swirling motion to stencil.
Affix a candle to the top and light it for a while to allow creepy cool drips to occur. Voilá!
