Cover a 4′ x 4′ area with a dropcloth or old newspaper. Cover a larger area if you are using a bigger frame. Using a 2″ brush, paint the front side of the frame with a water base primer and let dry 1 – 2 hours. While drying, you can clean and dry the 2″ brush for use with the next step.

Dip the chip brush into the Ambitious Front Door Paint. Hold the brush over one side of the frame and LIGHTLY tap the brush against the stir stick. I suggest you test this a few times on a newspaper first until you achieve the desired results. Allow to completely dry.

Apply your collection of decorations to the back side of the frame with a hot glue gun. It is super easy to use any extra ribbon, ornaments, poinsettias, glitter, and more. I used a single ribbon wound on each side and glued them together at the top. In the alternate, you could also use a longer single ribbon and wind them down both sides, securing the ribbon in the back with the hot glue. My holiday ribbon holds the frame on the door hanger but you can also use the frame itself. Make sure you allow the glue to dry at least 24 hours before hanging!
