Summer Project Inspirations from Modern Masters

We spend a lot of time outside in our patio, backyards and gardens – not to mention entertaining our friends and family.  Two of our blog friends share their Metal Effects projects with us…

Garden Planters with Metal Effects PatinaLaura from Pet Scribbles upgraded her planters with the Copper Reactive Metallic Paint and Green Patina Aging Solution back during the winter time.  In the meantime, she recently wrote a post on the durability of her Metal Effects garden planters. “These planters were subjected to snow, sleet, freezing rain, ice cold temps…and the paint has no chips or cracks. No signs that they have been outdoors for 4+ months. They look like the day I painted them!”  Thanks, Laura – and we think they look great in your garden!

  1. Love these projects! And thanks for featuring my large planter boxes, which I’m constantly getting compliments about! (Especially from neighbors who saw the original (and sad-looking) planter boxes in their “before” stage!) I heart Modern Masters!

  2. Love the large chest didn’t happen to see a before picture wanted to know how you prepped the piece sanded? Or primed? Thinking about trying modern masters paint wasn’t sure if it is easy to work with thanks
