Modern Masters Metallic Paint Spotlight: Champagne

Modern Masters Champagne Metallic PaintOur Modern Masters Metallic Paint Collection offers a beautiful selection of shimmery colors, ranging from blues, greens, bronzes, pearls, silvers, golds and more! One of our favorite and more popular colors in that spectrum is the versatile classic – Champagne.

The elegant mix of gold and silver used to create Champagne gives us a warm color which can complement a wide variety of decorative styles. Let’s explore and see how various artists have used this unique color in their works!

This guest bathroom was beautifully finished with Modern Masters Champagne Metallic Paint in vertical stripes by artist Amie Freling-Brown of Meme Hill Studio. Notice the soft glow of this color?

Ceilings are also an excellent way to introduce color into a space. This ceiling mural was painted over a base coat of Champagne Metallic Paint by artist Sharon Leichsenring of Leichsenring Studios.

This beautiful dresser was given a two-toned finish using Champagne and a creamy off-white by artist Angela of A to Z Custom Creations! We love how the darker drawer handles complement the dark wood tones in the distressed areas.

Stenciling is another way to create the perfect accent in any space. Artist Heidi Fox of Trash to Treasure did just that by creating an accent wall for this staircase using Royal Design Studio’s Acanthus Trellis Stencil and Modern Masters Champagne Metallic Paint!

Artist Sass Lassley of FeFiFaux Studios used both Modern Masters Champagne and Warm Silver Metallic Paints for this stunning powder bath finish! By masterfully blending these colors together, she was able to create a rich, abstract finish.

DIY Tray Makeover with Modern Masters Metallic Paints

DIY Tray Makeover with Modern Masters Metallic Paint | By Retro Ranch Reno

We love finding inspiring, new ways our Metallic Paint is used by artists, DIYers and Professionals and this DIY Tray Makeover by Gabbi of Retro Ranch Reno is a beautiful example! We’re excited to share with you how she used Modern Masters Metallic Paint to create this unique look!

An old tray in need of a fresh new look | By Retro Ranch Reno

Where most people would see another item for the trash heap, Gabbi saw amazing potential! The cup rings were a bit of an outdated look so she decided it was best to give the tray a good sanding in order to allow for a fresh coat of stain.

Stained Tray | By Retro Ranch Reno

Once the tray had been stained, it was now ready to be taped out.

Taped pattern on tray | By Retro Ranch Reno

One of the requirements for this design was that she wouldn’t need to measure a single thing. She used aluminum foil to protect the edges of the tray and eyeballed the initial pattern using various widths of stencil tape from her craft basket. At this point, you can really start to see where this project is going!

Using an X-acto knife she then carefully removed select sections to reveal the final pattern.

After the final pattern was taped out, she spray primed the tray and gave it 2 coats of Modern Masters Brass Metallic Paint.

Now the fun really begins!

After the paint had fully dried, it was time to carefully remove the tape for the final reveal!

We just love the final results of this metallic tray makeover! With just a little effort, Gabbi turned an old wooden tray into a stunning accent piece for her home!

Do you have a personal favorite Modern Masters product and/or finish?

One of my favorite products from the Modern Masters line is the Metallic Plaster. I love the many colors that are available. These colors give me the opportunity to create any palette I desire to work with. The Metallic Plaster is a very diversified product. I can can use it to create sleek contemporary finishes, old world finishes and even French style finishes. I can leave it smooth and compressed to a shimmery metallic look or I can use it with other products like glazes in order to create a more intricate finish. This plaster is a very user friendly product that anyone can use and the finishes that can be achieved will make anyone look like a pro.
